First, service is amazing - from the host to the waiters to the staff. Braxton was an amazing server! Both he and the host knew so much about the process of how the food and drinks are made and how much care goes into them. The host also gave us a history lesson on biryani! My favorite was the “Eat me like a Taco” not pictured because we inhaled it! My husband’s favorite was “lobster dumplings” also not pictured because that was also gone in a second!

We went here for the first time. Absolutely beautiful and delicious food, service and atmosphere! Milan was a gem and the manager was so caring. Thank you for bringing Kitchen Rumors to the area, definitely a place for all palates. The flavors mesh so well with each other, it is a genuine global fusion cuisine bringing the traditional flavors of Indian and Pakistani cuisine. Hats off to the chefs and management. You absolutely killed the game!

the staff was very friendly but you can definitely tell there is still growing pains. it took a very long time to get water refills and the food really lacked flavor. the dishes looked beautiful but just wasn’t satisfying. we ordered a few dishes. we had the chicken kabob, lamb chops, sichuan egg plant, butter chicken ramen and branzino. the best dish was the branzino. it was a wonderful dish but was very confused on what the dark bed of rice or vegetables it was laid upon. it wasn’t a very nice complement to the fish. the butter chicken ramen didn’t taste like butter chicken at all. and the sliced chicken in the dish felt like it came from a package of chick fila grilled nuggets. the sichuan eggplant didn’t taste or look like eggplant. i kept eating each cube trying to understand what it was. the lamb chops were very good and perfectly grilled medium rare the way we like it. the chicken kabob tastes like chicken nuggets with lots of cheese. my son liked it but me and the wife thought it was just okay. i hope the place does improve and we may try and come again.

This was our second visit to Rumors Kitchen, and with so many great options in Houston, coming back says a lot—we clearly enjoy it here. We started with the lamb chops, which were excellent and easily the standout among the starters. The hamachi crudo, on the other hand, was just okay and not something we’d order again. We expected more citrus and brightness, but the coconut milk flavor didn’t quite work for us. For the mains, the goat biryani was outstanding—rich, flavorful, and very satisfying. The paneer was also fantastic. We ordered the cauliflower with tahini as well, which we would definitely get again, along with the garbanzo beans in curry, both of which were excellent. The flan is the perfect dessert here. Overall, we really enjoyed the meal, but it doesn’t quite reach a 5-star level for us.

Had such a great experience at Kitchen Rumors. This is a perfect date night spot. The vibe is intimate but still relaxed, and the service really stood out. Super attentive without hovering, and everything felt really well-paced. We ordered a few things to share, which I definitely recommend doing here. It makes the experience more fun and lets you try a little bit of everything. One of my favorite dishes was a rich, brothy soup with a soft egg that was so flavorful and comforting. We also had a braised meat dish that was incredibly tender and full of depth, and a few crispy bites on the side that balanced everything out really well. Also have to mention the mocktails. They were so good and felt just as intentional as everything else on the menu. Overall, this is one of those places where the food, service, and atmosphere all come together. Definitely somewhere I’d come back to.
